There is a good top menu in the members' area that includes videos, photos, a model index, DVDs, books and art, plus some ideas for other sites of interest you might like to join, for a reduced fee. But more about all that later. First, after taking in the many images on the home page, all of which showed spanking sessions in some form or another, I checked out the videos.

Shadow Lane held 225 videos which dated back to 2005. The more recent ones had been added on a weekly update schedule and all were shown on index pages with large sample shots, so they are easy enough to browse. There were good viewing pages here though not a lot of choice for actually viewing the scenes. There was a stream, in Flash, but only the one choice. It ran smoothly enough for me though your connection may be an issue. There were also downloads, but usually only one or two per scene with a mix of file types. MP4 seems to be the more modern way to go but older scenes may have WMV or DivX files, and the resolutions will vary. I found a resolution of 720 x 480 @ 2,000 kbps in the most recent movie, with one MP4 file to take.

The scenes ran for around 20 minutes each and they did indeed have storylines. There was a mix of British and American models, and scenes had a fairly domestic feel to them: husband chastises wife and then spanks her, for example. There are some group lady scenes with three or four girls being told off and dealt with by a mistress, and there are all sorts of implements in use for the actual spanking; hands, paddles, riding crops and hairbrushes included. There is certainly a lot of red raw flesh on those bottoms, and the spanking is not faked here; this is a site for those who like to see and partake in the read deal.

You can check out what happens in scenes via the screen caps that come with each one and these are set out below the video viewing page. There were decent numbers per set and sizes, in the recent scenes, and the quality was fine. They play in an automatic slideshow, with navigation buttons. There are then 91 galleries in the main Photos area with around 100 to 150 pics apiece. These are set out with large thumbnails leading to enlargements at 2,304 x 3,456, when at full size, but they start off scaled down and in a slideshow. All this means it is very easy to browse through the images, and the quality here is fine. It's all what I would call good DVD standard.

And talking of DVDs, that's another menu item and there were 200 listed. These are for sale. Though members get to see some of the scenes made exclusively by Shadow Lane, not all the content of these DVDs is available in the members' area. The DVDs are listed with a description of the action and a link to the store. But for free stuff that's really cool to see on a site, head to the Books area. Here there were 15 volumes of spanking stories, set out in an online e-reader, with covers. That's a really neat extra to find on any site and they are all on the promised niche. You will find a section for Art as well with on-niche drawings and other artwork, and there's the model index where 85 models are featured in large images that lead to a page of details, stats and links each.

I found no technical troubles with the site, it all worked fine, there are good search and sort options, you can filter by categories, link to social networking sites, rate content, comment on it and add it to a favourites area.
