I landed on a home page in the members' area where the most recent updates were being shown. The dates here told me that a new scene is being updated every day, so that's a pretty nifty schedule, and the main menu holds a calendar which also tells you who and what is coming next. Tara Moon, Alura Jensen, Phoenix Marie and Amy Brook were all featured in the days ahead, giving us plenty to look forward to. The main movie link is also in the top menu of course and this is the best way to go to find the content; you can also opt to find the photos on their index pages, and there are many other links that Ill come back to in a moment.

There were 1,494 videos when I was at the site and these dated from 2009 to the present day. This means that the older movies will not be as high in quality/resolution as the more recent ones, of course, but the more up to date content came with decent viewing standards. There are various options per scene, including clips and full scenes to download and stream, and the streams were in Flash. The downloads were in WMV or MP4, with mobile versions and older movies also have Mpeg files at times. The stream plays straight away and buffered fine, full screen was okay with the larger spec movies, and scenes ran for between 15 and 25 minutes.

The action is varied here, as you might expect from porn stars. There are plenty of couples in hot, realistic action, with all kinds of girls. There are threesomes and some group scenes, plenty of hand jobs and blow jobs and spread wide pussies, some anal and some solos; there are lesbian scenes and toy-play scenes, and even some lingerie and leather themed ones. So, all kinds of hot stuff with some top names in the action and a lot of stars you may not yet have heard of.

You can also catch them in the photos area where there were 3,396 image sets with around 200 pics per set, though numbers do vary of course. Images are shown in large thumbnails that then go up to 1,062 x 1,600 in size, older sets may not be as large, and the quality was good. There are simple navigation buttons, though I didn't see slideshows, and you can download zip files of full sets.

Now here's a thing, or two. Pornstar Platinum is all about models, but there's no central model index. The girls have their names listed and linked on viewing pages for vids and galleries and when you click that you find a list of her other content. But there were no stats or details, not on the girls I checked out and no way of seeing them all listed; so you can't actually browse your models site by the actual models and their looks. And, the second thing, the site is listed as a network and the tour pages list the sites, and the blogs, which belong to the various stars who appear. Yet, inside the members' area you lose the individual look of the tour, and I for one would like to see a more individual design.

The site does let you get interactive with rates, a poll, searches and comments and there is easy navigation with linked tag words and the like, but the top menu is mainly full of links to up-sells. There are things like Platinum Dates and Live Cams, and these do have the Pornstar Platinum header with them, but they are like plug-ins from other sites so you get some free action and then have to register and sign up for more. The tour is a bit misleading in that respect, offering a live show countdown. I am sure that some of the babes from the site do do live shows, but you're probably going to have to pay extra for them.
